Please Can Someone Explain These Events.

Today I added a new discus to my 'discus tank' and straight away the little blue one came out from hiding. . All the discus were in a line (above each other). Some would twitch at one another. This was the yellow one and the new one. Then big blue jumped in and started pecking the little blue and the new one. The yellow one is constantly trying to get the new guys attention lol.

Not knowing much about discus yet, but love them. Gorgeous pic btw. I would guess they are showing off for each other? Either way I had to post and tell you what a beautiful fish. I hope to get a 75 or 90 gal soon and start a discus tank. I'm suffering from some discus envy here.

They are establishing a pecking order by the sounds of it. Typical cichlid behaviour. There will be one dominant fish in the tank.
