How often do they spawn/lay eggs?

I've had them spawn every 4-6 weeks as long as the previous fry were not present in the tank.

My tank has the first batch in it and they have spawned 2 more times since then. The babies from the first batch as eaten all the eggs.

mine breed every 15 days but i pull the eggs and hatch them my self. the local fish store buys them for $1.oo each when they reach 2 inches
