Red Head Severum

I just bought a 2" red head severum yesterday at a lfs. He had nice color but his fins were a bit tattered from the other fish in the tank. Will he be ok with a festivum, fire mouth, and 2 red aureum? They are all about 2" in a 55 g tank. Thanks.

No, you are overstocked from what I have researched.:$ Not sure about territorial problems.
The fish will outgrow the tank and take more space then the tank has.

Should be okay for the time being, though you will have to upgrade to larger tank for the Severums at a later date, aggression shouldn't be a problem.

Always best to prevent. If you can, i suggest re-homing:/ And maybe getting other fish.

Im not sure how long it takes for sevs to reach max size. Are you planning on upgrading? Im sure youll be fine for a good bit if you plan on getting a larger tank.

Not for at least for a year or two. After that I was thinking about a 90 gallon tank.

Well then you will need to rehome the fish if you cant upgrade soon.

We have had this beautiful guy for over a year! We bought him at about 2", now he is about 5". He is housed with a festivum, a geophagus, a bushy nose pleco and 9 assorted loaches in a 55 gallon tank. Definitely not overcrowded! They are not fast growers.
