I had one with my mbuna back when I had my 150G cichlid tank & it was doing great
He claimed his cave & kept everyone out of it lol
My friend currently has a rainbow shark with his mbuna

Thank you very much he is currently in a friends tank and is bullying her platties so now he will go in with my mbuna and be put in his place lol

What's the size difference?

Mbuna's are between 2 and 4 inches.None are fully grown yet.The RTS is about 2 1/2 inches.

Should be fine, but you wont know forsure till you move him over.

I have one in a 54g with African cichlids they do fine. They have alot of caves.

I have one with CA cichlids and never had a problem. They seem to leave each other alone.

Ok put him in and they were seriously pestering him.He's gone to cover as luckily I have plenty of it.Just hope he's gonna be ok.

Usually when you're adding new fish to an established tank where original fish have claimed their territory

-It's best to have the lights off when you add the fish
-move what ever decorative items for example: dw, rocks & caves, this will throw off claimed territories & make it easier for your new addition to claim their own
