I have 2 Acei, I'm pretty sure it's 1 male 1 female.
The female started getting a lot of attention from the male and I think she may be holding.
She's in hiding most of the day but whenever she does come out, the male pushes her back in her cave.

I did try to net her yesterday but that was near impossible, I'm sure I could catch the male but would that change anything?

This is the suspected female, she's unbelievably skittish towards me and the other fish.

Her fins a looking a little pale but there's no damage.
She has a small gash on her forehead but nothing too serious.

So it sounds like he's got her chained to the kitchen sink...!

I would try and catch her. Place her in a tank by herself. it would be less stressful for her.

I usually remove all of my decor and use 1 big and 1 medium size net. That helps. Having yo catch one in a 75 gallon is no easy task. Lol

The less I want to do that the more a viable option it becomes...
