Rubbing rocks after Mela/Pima

I've been dousing the tank with Melafix and Pimafix for at least a week now to help with some healing -- what does it mean that in the last day or two I've been noticing more that most of the fish swim around excitedly rubbing themselves on the rocks after I've thrown the stuff in the tank?

Sounds like they are flashing as it is irritating them. Are they rubbing around the gills?
