I seem to have craters in the sand in my Julie tank. It's not from changing the water. It's kinda almost underneath one of the small rock caves, and the other Julie prefers the other side of the tank. If it is the Julie that's doing it, then why is it digging a hole? Neither Julies are fully grown yet, but they are the same age and one is noticeably larger then the other.

Not sure if our "craters" are the same, but If you watch your joulies carefully you sometimes can spot them spitting water at the sand. They do that to expose any small creatures to feed on. Never seen my other cories do that, the emeralds and peppers just sink their head up to the gills into it.

At any rate in the morning my sand is indeed strangely textured, "craters" probably describes this well.

Okay, I thought that it might have something to do with the MTS keeping the sand safe for them, but I wasn't sure.
