Hi all I may have my first cichlid ever holding. My male saulosi is almost fully changed over and colored. You can see him in one pic. I tried to get female pocs but she moves just enough (and iphoone stinks)so I came but I def think she is holding.

Hard to say but it does look like it. When you feed everyone keep an eye on her and if she eats nothing then she for sure is

Thanks. I noticed after I fed and took a shower. One of other saulosi I think was a male starting to change was randomly dead yesterday with its stomach eaten out Don't know if maybe Dom male did it. He's only bully currently

Definitely did not leave cave to eat! I so do I move her and how do I know when? I have a 10 gallon I can set up this weekend but not sure that will be ok as a fry tank? I'd like to sell or give them away rather than use them as food!

Fill up the 10 with water from your main tank and get a nice little filter on it. Put her in it carefully catching her so she won't spit. Then watch here everyday until they are swimming freely. And add plenty of rocks and plenty of thick live plants as babies like to hide
