Hello all, i was sold this apisto and was told it was female, however im starting to think it is a male, can anyone help me sex it? I had a male in the tank with it before but he died (i am still not sure why)

Ok well thank you, do you have apisto experience?

I bought a pair of apistos and the male died within 3 days, he would eat his food than spit it out and then one day he could just barely move, the female is now doing the same thing and has long string white poop so i am treating with API general cure becuase i think it might be flagelletes. Ive read this is common in new apistos and was wondering if you knew anything about it.

Tank parameters are good
low nitrate
0 nitrite
Water is soft
Ph is about 6.8

The tank is young about 2 months old

Tank mates
5 guppies
3 neon tetras
1 BN pleco
1 horseface loach
1 amano shrimp

We are working on getting a 70 gallon to move the horseface into and possibly the BN as well
