sexing convicts

So these are my brothers convicts and I have a question about sexing them. The one I think is the female has gold on its stomach. The other one is just grey and black. The female is chasing the male but could it be both are females.







The one on top OS the female and the one on bottom is male help me

They both kinda look like girls to me the way I remember my sexes is that the dorsal fin of the male exceeds the caudal fin(tail fin) the females does not also I heard that girls will likely hav orange spot/ stripes on their body but my girl convict doesn't have orange at all on her

Pic two female....but it also looks like the male may be a hybrid bc the shape of the face looks narrow...just my opinion...

Oh ok well the female beat up the male and he was getting stressed so my bro returned him. Is that normal?

They were probably making territory either that or they just weren't compatible
