Sick Cichlid

My yellow lab is sick. He's got a red welt right between his eyes (kinda looks like a pimple) and he keeps sinking to the bottom of the tank , resting on the gravel , and breathing really slowly.

My water params are all great (all the other fish are fine) and he has been in a qt tank (10 gal) for 2 days with 20% water changes and params matching the ones in his original tank. I've given him doses of Kanacyn but he doesn't seem to be improving.

Any ideas of what could be making Nemo (I know he's a cichlid but I can't afford the upkeep of a real nemo) sick?

Is there anything sticking out of the "pimple"? Not sure if its an infection or parasites...

No nothing else is sticking out. The red pimple between his eyes is raised but the redness has disapated a bit this morning. The lfs said that Kanacyn was a good general med. Is there something better I could be using?
