Silver sand - how to clean?

you first get the container take your gravel vac and fill the container then transport your fish over with the filter and heater then remove the rest of the water in buckets then remove the decor and substrate then put in new substrate and put in old decor then add the water in the buckets then once the sand settles add the rest of the water, the fish, heater, and filter.

thank you, now im just wondering whats best for sand for my tanks... i have an oscar, 2 blood parrots, and 2 convicts... coral sand, aragonite... i like the color black for the sand i know that but i think ill be buying this online seeing as its uber expensive at the lfs...

i recently changed to micro crushed coral sand.

keeps the ph nice and stable, and since adding it i LOVE watching the fish suck some up and filter it through their gills.

they also dug tunnels under a rock, made a little pocket to hide in next to another rock, etc.

theyre so active with this new substrate.
