I am upgrading my tank to 240L 4ft wide next week. I currently have a group of BN Catfish and a breeding pair of Jewel Cichlids (have just spawned) I was originally going to keep the stock for my new tank and add 6 tiger barbs. However after witnessing 1st hand the stress the jewels put there tank mates under when spawning and as fun as having a breeding pair is I don't want to try to get rid of 200 fry a month!
So I was thinking I may get rid of the female (as cruel as that feels) and get another male Cichlid for the tank.
Am I right with enough rocks wood an plants any male African Cichlid of similar size and aggression could work? I was thinking a electric blue.
Any advice would be great. Thanks all!
