How do you tell the difference in socolofis between male and female?

No real difference besides the males colors might be more vibrant here's a pic of my holding female

I thought it had to do with the spots on the anal fin. Is this true? I've got one fish with 1 spot and the other has 2 or 3. And they are around the same age. Any ideas??

Both sexes have egg spots but the males are more prominent
