Since this is for the father in law, I won't have much of a say in the stocking. He wants angels, rams, severums and plecos. Sounds like a decent start to me.

Making progress so far! Look at dem corners!!!

So last night was pretty successful as far as progress goes. This stand will have more of a furniture look to it so my main focus was making all the 45's for the corners meet up like a champ. Added the decorative trims around the top and bottom and did a lot of sanding to get perfect fits. Tonight the plan will be to put in the doors and start staining.

Thanks.....it is rolling pretty quickly. Going with a gunstock color stain so I think it's gonna look awesome. Got pick up the raised panel doors from the cabinet shop today.

So far tonight. We gonna sand and try to stain if we're not too tired.

Thanks. We didn't get to stain it last night so that will be the mission after work. Plan is to have it in the house with the tank ready to setup on Sunday.

Well did you find anything cool this past weekend for pops tank, or your for that matter?

As I thought, it was all African cichlids and a few plecos. I picked up 4 blue eyed bristle nose plecos (2 for me 2 or him), 2 long fin bristle nose and when I stopped at my favorite fish store, I picked up a geophagus winemilleri to complete my trio and a 5" geophagus altifrons. Not a total loss as far as fish but between the great food, company and cold beer, it was all worth it.
