Suggestions for a new catfish?

I am getting a 45 gallon tank and was wondering what type of catfish or bottom feeder to get to go along with two electric green jack dempseys. I was told that they are less aggressive then the normal jack dempsey and that they only get to be 6 inches. Thanks.

EBJD needs a min 55 gallon for 1 they reach 10" if they make it past 3".
Also need pristine water to live to full size.

OP, unless you plan on upgrading then I wouldn't add any fish because your ebjd is gonna outgrow your tank alone.

But you can't put a fish aside to stock a tank. When stocking you should take into acct the adult size of fish you want.

Ok first off don't add a single thing to your 45 or your ebjds are going to die from poor water quality. For those 2 alone you need a bigger tank 55 gallon minimum preferably a 75. If you were to upgrade to a 55 or 75 and move the ebjds you could do pictus catfish, stripped Raphael catfish, or Cory catfish. But if you add any of those suggestions now your jacks are done for.
