I have a 60 gallon 48x15x18 overstocked Mbuna tank right now and want to bump up the gallon size but could only stick with a 48" long footprint due to space. I'm looking at the 110 gallon 48x18x31 tank, will this benefit my cichlids or wasting my money? I know they prefer a long tank, but can't go that route. Overstocked, but my water is always on spot, filtered by a Fluval 406 and a AC110 with a Koralia 750 in the mix.

If you are limited to 48" on lenght I would do a 120 for the extra dept. 48X24X25

I had a 110 for awhile with peacocks in it and they did absolutely amazing in there. It's a bit tall but as long as you have a longer python for doing your w/c's you're laughin. All a matter of opinion. Keep in mind they weren't full grown at the time.
