Tank size?

I have two convicts, a pleco, and an Oscar in a 30 gal right now. I know my Oscar and pleco will need bigger tank eventually but my Oscar is growing fast and is 4 inches now. Im working on getting everything for 75 gal I just got but on tight budget I'm just wondering how much bigger he can get in this tank before I absolutely have to move him.

I'd say that he's pretty much there. Convicts especially need to establish a territory within the tank. Oscars aren't as aggressive unless they're breeding, but your oscar will defend itself against the convicts if they get too aggressive with it. If you're going to move them to a larger tank, you need to do it soon, or you're going to have trouble.

I got them moved to a 50 gal and are much happier! Still plan on putting Oscar in 75 gal once tank is ready.
