I looked this morning to find my simple thermometer in my tank had water in it and just a fracture in the glass around the bottom. Are my fish in danger of mercury poisoning? What should I do if this is a problem?

There is no need to worry as they don't use mercury in aquarium thermometers. Just remove the debris and call it a day.

Okay great thank you!
