I am considering buying 5 or 6 of them to keep with my mbuna. there isnt much info out there on them but from what i can gather they have the same diet and behavior as mbuns. Thier native water is a bit different but they can adjust to mine. What do you guys think? Anyone had any experience with them? I would be putting them in with my mbuna but all my mbuna are relativly peacfull. Your thoughts would be appreciated!

I love the articles on cichlid forum. I would be keeping them with 6 Acei, 6 yellow labs and 4 afra cobue ( which I may re-home soon.), 8 synodontis and 2 types of bnp. The thoracos are so expensive I would make the tank work for them. Such a cool looking fish. Surprised its notI more popular.

Yes! They are very cool!

I just got an Astatotilapia latifiscia (sp?) recently; it's pretty peaceful, and like the blood throat, much different looking than the 'normal' cichlids. Lol
