Totally new 29 gallon stock idea

Well... I opted to not put my 2nd beta into the 2nd gallon. Instead I got him his own 5 gallon tank so now both my betas have their own 5 gallon tanks.

My 29 still sits empty as it's cycling. I think I've made the decision to make it a cichlid tank.

I will def. be keeping to the smaller versions of the cichlids (probably no more than 5" max).

Any good ideas? My LFS doesn't have a great cichlid selection.
 
I have a bumble bee(mbuna),very cool cichlid but I'm partial to my johanni..he is the absolute boss in my tank.pic of the tank boss w/yellow lab above clearing out.. other pic is of same tank but wider angle..not shown is the sm pieces of driftwood added this morning. Malawi African setup w/lace rock & live plants...

For a 29 Gallon, here are some ideas:

- Keyhole Cichlid
- Convict (or HRP)
- Dwarf Ram
- Dwarf Pike
