What kind of fish? Dealer said S. American Dwarf Cichlid

I apologize for the rather poor picture, it is hard holding the camera steady. Can I have some help identify this fish? The LFS said that it was a S. American Dwarf Cichlid of some time. Another guy said it was a juvenile African Cichlid. It'd be nice to know for sure so I can decide whether my PH, at 8.0 need adjusting.

Its hard to tell since it isn't a full body shot, but it appears to be a Kenyi (African Cichlid from Lake Malawi). I would need a better pic to be 100% certain since there are a few species that look similar to the Kenyi. But that's what my money would be on.
