Whats happening?

I've recently bought a tank from an owner who was getting rid of their set up (including the fish) in this were two sevrums (I've never kept these fish before)

However yesterday I noticed they appeared to be chasing each other around a little, today I noticed they seems to have locked lips.

Any advice? I'm not sure if to separate them as I do have a smaller tank (whilst its not an adequate size as a permanent move - it can be used for a day or two whilst I rehome one of them - if necessary)

Fish look like they are lip locking.

That is normal especially with 2 Cichlids. They are either challenging one another for dominance or could be a pair ready to spawn.
