Why are they doing this??

Hi I have for catfish I can't remember the names but for the last month the catfish have been curling up head to tail in a circle and then one will swim off and one would just lay on the greenery area but before all of them would just hide in rocks but it's the same one sitting on the plants it's been sitting like that for the last four weeks now and when another catfish calm he fights it away but when a certain catfish comes they swim head to tail can anyone let me know what they are doing thank you


That is the catfish that's I think is guarding something

They are a Synodontis species.

I can't tell exact species. There are hybrids around also.
