No.. It will not provide the correct spectrum. 15- 20k is the spectrum you want if I recall correctly.
What were your plans for it?

500k will give it a yellow hue, not the right spectrum for corals. :-(
Will be good for a refugium light though.

Yeah that will probably fuel algae in the dt, but will work great for your fuge. I would try and shade it from shining into the tank if you can.

Hi guys. My water is good, Apart from salinity being a little high. I am slowly lowering salinity by adding RO water little by little. I want to add another fish next week. My lfs has a fire fish for $8 or a clown goby (yellow or blue) for $8 also. What should I get? There is also a very cool scissor tail for $20. Thanks.
