Still using my koralia 425 and a tetra power head. Only temp until I can get the Jaebo power heads. These 2 along with the return flow from both my HOB filters seem to be doing pretty good.

If your doing a 30g then I think it would be good for know but def get the bigger ones as soon as you can. Since you have SPS now they need the higher flow.

Yes! If your doing a 30g then look for one that will give about 600gph.

10 gallon nano-reef coming together
I pump over 4000 through my 55 sometimes... And to me, it still doesn't look like enough flow..
For the sandbed and fish, it's way too much. That's 72xmy turnover... Kind of ridiculous.

For SPS you really want 50x turnover rate. Go with jebaos if you can. You won't regret it.

My tank goes from 30 times to 80 times turnover per hour throughout the day lol. I agree with Mac the more flow the better with sps.

IMHO if you really want an sps dominant tank go with one of the variable power heads like the jaebos or vortechs. Sps do much better with random flow patterns these type pumps can generate, and the jaebos aren't much more than the korillias and a wp10 and a k425 would probably be good (600 would be better)
