28 Gallon JBJ HQI NANO SETUP

Does anyone know if all the back compartments on this unit to be filled to level with each other?Not really sure how much water to add.Its says its a 28 gal.,I have apx. 35lbs of LS and 30lbs of LR.Sand is apx 2 1/2 to 3 " deep.

Also can you place LR in the tank before the temp. is 78-81?

I got a 28g CF and i've found its good to leave the two sides part full, up to the bottom of the mid box, if you shut off your pumps and watch them you'll see why....

i have the 28 nanocube and ive found that its best to leave the water level just about an inch under the outside plastic/sponge part.
