5 or 6g - How frequent on water top-offs?

Thinking of getting one for my office, but I can be out of the office for 3-4 days straight. Dr's Foster and smith have a 6g nano set up. Wondering how often these things require top-offs? I'd guess PWCs weekly with one or two very small gobies or so? Is 2 weeks out of the question?

This one in the 6g version....

I would say, with a lid, evaporation should be slow. I'm not sure on how much exactly. 2 weeks seems like it could a little bit of a stretch, could you do a DIY top-off thingamajig?

Prolly not at work with limited space.

I'm asking if water changes, wondering if it'll go 2 weeks.

Hmmm, I'll have to defer to the nano experts....

Hey Ray,
I have VERY little evaporation from my 12gal nanocube. In fact, i hardly ever top-off. I do bi-weekly water changes and only lose maybe 1/4in of water in that time. With a few mods to the 6gal, I think you will be just fine. Trash all of the media it comes with and fill up the filtration compartments with LR rubble. More biological filtration means less water changes. If you get it, let me know what you think. I have tossing around the idea in my head for one in my office as well.

I'm gonna give it a week or two and decide, but it does sound promising. Knowing me....

We can all "jump" together.
