API nitrate test kit

I tested my tank w/ API nitrate kit. It showed 80. I was in a panic mode & immediate did a50% water change & continue for another 3 days, it still showed 40-80.

I ran to the LFS & asked for water. It came out just less than 10. I bought a new Seacherm nitrate test kit. It showed 2 only.

Anyone has the same experience? Did the API kit go back? I bought it less than 10 months.

I've been having the same problem.... Every time i test it it shows the same thing and with everything I do to try and correct it it just stays the same maybe it's just a crappy test they sell
