I hace a 14 gal biocube and i re arranged the rock and cleaned my pump and filter and did a water change after i decided to test and my results
Ammonia:0.25
Ph:8.2
Nitrate:40ppm it was 80ppm first time
Nitrite:2ppm
Is this something a water change will solve

I stirred up the sand and rock and there they were abd i hadent done a water change in 2 weeks

If your tank is cycled, you should probably be doing more frequent WCs.

To answer your question, there are anaerobic bacteria that live deeper in your sand bed. When you stir up the sand, those bacteria are exposed to oxygen and die. They decay and quickly produce ammo. If you don't usually stir your sb then try to not stir it all, so you don't expose these bacteria. Hope this helps!

Btw, is there anything still alive in your tank? Either way, do WCs frequently and in large amounts.
