Yeah clams are fine, it's just the scallops that don't do well in captivity. Clams need high lighting and if it's under 2" it's recommended that it be fed phytoplankton. Takes a while for those things to outgrow a tank, so that won't be too much of a worry, but maybe you can use as an excuse to upgrade :wink:
