UPDATE!

Now we're all moved in, all went well surprisingly. I thought I had lost my blenny a few days before we moved, which saddened me but made me get more stocking ideas. This was all followed by me opening up my bucket that I transported my corals in to see my little blenny friend staring me in the face :)

He had somehow managed to attach himself to a rock where he stowed away in the coral bucket, but he made it!

Now all is well, tank looks so much better to me, on the actualy Biocube stand in the living room, the beautiful white sand looks endlessly better than what I had before. Also now that Jen set up her tank she had quite a few left over pieces which she kindly gave me and I added so much needed extra structure to my rock.

I snapped a few pictures and got a great shot of my blenny, so I'll be posting those soon enough!

PS: On the last fish for my stocking I saw a pretty wetmorella tanakai at my LFS, but didn't grab him upon reading how cryptic they are, and I don't want another fish that hides LOL

Blenny and my firefish is all right now.

Here are a few pictures from before I tore it down for the move..

Xenia all nice and pink

Jen's zoas, for whatever reason they look a ton nicer after we moved (Don't have a photo of them yet, moving rocks made them mad)

Coralline is doing great on this rock, and my xenia (Not too happy since the move, but I figure it'll take a bit)

Loving the pictures! I like it with the added rock, it looks complete now.

keep the updates coming, you're my inspiration LOL

Nice! Can't wait to see the new pic with white sand too. Is that some sort of macro algae growing on the backwall? (behind the mushroom pics)\

Edit* There they are! haha looking good! I really do like that rockwork, kind of wraps around the tank.

Yeah I think the sand is reflecting the light, not only giving a brighter look but much better colors to look at IMO.

Yeah I kind stole the general rock idea off of Zer0's shallow rimless that never got water in it, so I think he won't be mad ;)

I almost forgot! Jen made a cool time-lapse video of my tank while we were packing up stuff, so this is a few days before it got moved! Watch it in HD and make it fullscreen to get the full effect! :D

Thanks Jen!

Man huge improvement now that I watched that video. The new sand did take a big part with it. I love the new rock placement as well. And lol that fire fish was pretty funny jumping around the tank like that.

Yeah I'm really glad to have changed sand, like I was just telling a friend a bit ago it seems to have curbed my algae growth significantly. I am getting some new sand bed diatoms, but I'm fine with that.

This week Jen and I plan to head down to our LFS because I asked about some blue Sympodium I was eyeing last week (Not for sale or I'd have it already). He said he gets it from one guy who's fragging from his own colony, and he'd get some $20 frags in this week. I also finally caved after seeing some awesome misbar (what I thought were) perculas, and if they are, I will grab one to finally finish out my stocking.

Also finally bought some more AipX and killed what I could find, which was luckily only a few. Cyano - I'm still working on positioning my PH and output to get in all those deadspots, we'll find out in the coming days

Hmm, I never really though about coral placement/layout personally. Now that you mention I probably should

I do wish to have several gardens (ric, zoa, acan), maybe if I can find something that really catches my eye I'll slap it there. The zoas I'm holding were currently there, but a darn turbo knocked it off, and they are in a temp home as well

Thanks to your video I'm going to try and see about placing my maxijet in the same way as yours. It's the 3 in one, and even though I bought the smallest one no matter where I placed it as a circulation pump it kicked up the sand in my 24g.

Many thanks if it works, water seems a bit stagnant in the rock work.

If the way that Firefish is working the current is any indication, that is going to be one really strong fish :)

See someone commented about that on YouTube, and the flow really isn't that strong. I moved the tank to our new place and didn't move the PH at all, and he used all of the tank. I suppose he was just trying to stay low-profile or something.

Btw, this tank may be getting switched to T5HOs ;)

You'll like him a ton more by tonight most likely. Just got done filming a video of me feeding the tank, Jen will probably have it edited and uploaded tonight so I'll post it then!
