Doing my 28g Nanocube the right way

Since all my fish died- I've been reading a lot. I've done two water changes and purchased more live rock and another test kit. I have a fluval 306 hooked up and the Bak Pak skimmer is off. I'm going to hunt down the Ace ammonia tomorrow. I've noticed that 3 sand snails are still alive- will they live when I start pouring in the ammonia?

They can I wouldn't pour ammonia in its very very very strong small amount will do.
