Got an early Christmas present from my mum and Grandmum today! It's a four gallon Aqueon with a built in filter. It's quite a change from my 90 gallon, but i wanted one on my nightstand by my bed.The light has 20 white and 2 blue LEDs and the flow is great. I don't have to cycle the water or cure the rocks because my lfs who only sells saltwater had them in a bundle with the tank. The tank purchase came with 5 pounds of live rock, 5 pounds of live sand and a five gallon bucket o water. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I also got a nice size gsp rock with some attached Xenia, and neon green candy cane with 9 heads. I set everything up at about 4:00ish and the gsp aren't open at all, and the Xenia aren't extended fully. Should I be worried? Thanks! Pics will be up as soon as everything's open. :)

Thanks! I thought so too! The trumpet colony (if you will) was only 25 bucks total. I couldn't believe it.

Thank you so much. It means so much coming from you guys. I love your tanks so much. Bearchumjs, your pico is actually what inspired me to start one.

Thanks! I ended up upgrading mine. Mostly because I ended up with a 10 gal tank when my sons hermit crab died. I think he was trying to molt and didnt survive or something...

Anyway, are you planning on getting any shrimp or crabs?

Anytime! I follow your thread and it's great. I do plan on eventually adding 5-6 sexy shrimp. Would that be too many? I'm also probably going to get like two small blue leg hermits to help with detritus and maybe a couple of dwarf cerinths from my 90 gallon.

Thinking about taking the peppermint shrimp out of my 90 gal and putting it in the pico. Would this be ok? There's plenty of hiding caves for the size.

Well never mind. The shrimp died within 10 minutes of being in the tank. I don't know what happened. I mean, I had a peppermint shrimp in there. :'(
