Fort's 12 Gallon Long Rimless Reef Tank

I am putting together a new reef tank. The plan so far is this:

GLA Rimless 12 Gallon Long Tank (36" wide)
BRS Reefsaver dry rock to start
White Sand

Finnex titanium heater
Vortech MP10 Powerhead
Tunze Nano Osmolator for ATO w/ 4 gallon reservoir

DIY RapidLED fixture, with 3 LED channels (Royal, Blue, White) controlled by a Typhon Arduino controller (so I can do sunset/sunrise, etc), with custom made T channel aluminum stand, per my drawings:

That is all I am planning for equipment. I do not intend to add a skimmer or other means of filtration as this tank will be lightly stocked with maybe 1 small fish and some inverts. The plan will be to keep various rare species of zoas and maybe some other softies.

All materials listed are ordered and on the way, so I will update as the build comes together. The first step will really be assembling the LED fixture, and I will try to document that process. I haven't ever built an LED fixture before and it has been many years since I have wielded a soldering iron, so it could get interesting.

More to come

I am definitely following. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I am also looking to do a rapid led setup off an arduino, I was thinking pwm for the drivers but I wasn't sure. It looks like you are, is there a reason you decided or is I just because? Personally I like pwm from a control standpoint but don't know much about how LEDs are on it.

It just came down to the controller for me. I was reading on a few different forums and people seem very happy with the mean well PWN and ecstatic with this controller.

...and full. Vortech is up and running. Lol I put it on ecosmart and went to roll up my water hose and the standing wave was almost crashing over the edge of the tank. 40% max power noted.
