There is a chance that i will come into possesition of a JBJ picotope for my upcoming birthday and i have some questions for the nano gurus. The tank will be for next year when i go to college so that i dont have to go through tank withdrawl . i have a few problems though, the closest LFS to campus is roughly 10 miles and there is about a 95% i wont have a car.
So! I was thinking about using the campus tap water and treating it with tap conditioners, on top of that stuffing the little power filter with small media bags of Nitra-Zorb and some phosphate control of somesort.
I only plan to keep corals and maybe a shrimp of somesort in there to keep bioload at minimum. Plus at the end of the year i want to be able to throw everything in bags, drain the tank and head for home without worrying too much about everything surviving the 6 hour car ride.
Do you guys think this is a do-able plan?
Or do you see any alternatives or better methods for my plan?
