Update. Added a few new things to the tank. A feather duster, some new zoas, and a pistol and watchman combo. All is doing well.
The pistol which I have named wasabi (lol) is a bulldozer!!!! No lie it has my tank upside down and backwards. It has also started "clicking" which I know Is normal, but I can help what wonder what it is clicking at?
The things that make you go hmmm........

Like your duster. Yeah, my pistol clicks on regular basis. Read somewhere that they use their pistol to loosen up shells and stuff thats stuck in the sand, so I'm hoping that's what it is.

I'm wondering if it killing the nassarius snails in the sand bed. There seems to be less of them at feeding time now.

Could be. I know mine has killed at least one cerith snail cuz I saw the shell shoring up the walls of the burrow. I've also seen him try to pull snails into his burrow as they go by the opening.

Ya I had tons of baby nassarius snails and they would come out like and army when I feed the tank. Now I only seem to have larger size ones. That's okay the pistol does some pretty good bulldoze work himself so I shouldn't have to worry sand sifting! Lol

Well still looking for this elusive Pygmy angelfish. Everytime I go to the store I leave without a fish but get a new coral. Such an addictive hobby.

They may be able to order one for you. All the stores around me have them right now, so it's not a seasonality issue at the moment.

Ya I was thinking about calling and asking them if they could do that. It's the last fish I want and I have seen every other kind of angel I con think of, but I think these little guys would suit my tank the best. And they are blue.

Is it true that leather corals move like a mushroom or a nem? If so how do I get it to move off the rock it's on?

Now they don't move. They will stretch to get light and position themselves the way they like the light but they won't actually move off of a rock and to another one. That's my when they are fragged they have to be rubber banded down till they attach themselves

Update. I have found the happy place for the bubble coral as well as the leather. The bubble is super happy and the leather is starting to open up.
Ps good luck to all the folks on the eastern seaboard. I'm mostly catching the wind up her in Ontario.

So I come home from work and something has lossened my zoas from the front of the tank. Argh! I was sure the green ones had taken hold of the rock work. Oh well put them back in place and hope they stay there.

Got a green star polyp coral today, at least I think that's what it's called, I also got a free hitchhiker a brittle star.

I also got some aptasia-x today. I turned of the pumps like it said and while they were off I noticed this tiny tiny jellyfish like thing swimming about. Managed to catch it in a glass but its to small to take a pic. Could it be a hydroid? Has anyone had experience with these?

I found a bunch of these in my tank. I think they were introduced from chaeto I bought, not LR b/c I have none. I did a bunch of research and all I found was that they were some type of hydroid..but nobody knew for sure on the other forums I saw this on. Doesn't look like they are doing any harm, but they are so small that if they did I prob. wouldn't notice. Congrats on the awesome corals! Make sure to keep the GSP on the sand if your lights are strong enough, or on the wall.

Thanks for the nice comments. I placed the GSP about midway up the tank. I have metal halides so I could put them on the sand the problem is my bulldozer pistol shrimp he would use them for building material. Lol just waiting for them to come out now then will post pics.

Be very careful with your GSP....

The two pics below are from the day I brought mine home to this evening.... just about 3 months worth of growth. I love this stuff.... it looks great in the current, but make sure it's on it's own rock that can easily be removed without tearing apart your tank, because this stuff will need trimmed. If allowed, it will take over your tank, overrunning some corals along the way. If you notice, mine is on it's own flat rock on the sandbed, not touching anything else..... as it starts to migrate out onto the sand, I can trim it back before it reaches anything else!!!

You have been warned..........
