Mushroom/Zooanth Question

Hey guys,

I just bought some mushroom corals and a rock full of zooanthids (did i spell that right?). I'm doing an acclimation right now, but I'm just curious about a few things. One, how long should I have my lights on per day? And is a temp of ~78 and salinity of 1.024 good?

Thanks!

-matt

That'll work for 'shrooms and zoo's. These are pretty hardy.

10 to 12 hrs per day is what I'd aim for.

sounds good for both..What kind of lighting do you have.. Are you going to feed them anything? Phytoplankton,(DT's) or Liquid life. This may help them grow.... I have had luck using both products.....

Thanks for the info guys! I was told I probably didn't need to feed them, in fact, I read how you actually should not feed the mushrooms. Is there any way to judge if I should feed them or not? For lighting, my Nanocube (12g) has a 24W / 110 V + 10,000K

They will eat when you feed the tank. The polyps will closed around food right away. The mushrooms will close around food too. It takes longer but is more dramatic.
