My 28g Nano Build

Hello everyone. I'm brand new to this forum and would like to say this is a great place with a ton of information. I've been a aquarium hobbyist for about 8 years now but have never gotten into saltwater...until now!

I have been lurking around on this forum and others for a while always checking out nano tanks and amazed at how good they look. I was at my LFS yesterday and ended up leaving with the following items:

-JBJ 28g Nano Cube CF-Quad
-21 lbs of caribbean live rock
-25 gallons of premixed saltwater (LFS is close to me, so I said why not)

I got everything set up last night and wow was it cloudy. Here is a picture of it from last night.

So it eventually started to clear up a bit before I went to bed and here and new pictures from this morning.

I'm going to be getting a new camera because all I have is my iphone at the moment. I think about going to get about 10-15 more lbs of live rock when I go back to the LFS.

I will take any advice as well along the way of this build. Thanks

So I believe I had something living in one of my live rocks...i see this red thing move a little and seen a puff of sand come out of the hole like something kicked it out.

Ok while I was trying to get a better picture of this thing inside a piece of liverock I observed it snapping back in the rock very quick. The first pic is with it out, then the second is when it moved back in. I have no idea what it is.

Just looks like a sponge to me. Good filter feeder. Nothing to worry about.

Well I have found a few aiptasia on my live rock so I ordered a kit to get rid of them. From what I read they are nothing but bad and can spread like crazy.

Also when I came home from work tonight I turned my light on in the tank and seen some strange long thin brown tenacle looking things that went back into the rock when I turned the light on.

This is getting pretty interesting and only my 2nd day with the tank lol.

Yeah Im sure your tank went into a cycle again. Yeah you can't listen to LFS people too much. For example, I was at mine today and I brought some water in for testing because Im still waiting on my kit to get delivered. Someone tested my water there that I have never dealt with yet. Anyway my tank has been up for 6 days keep in mind this guy comes out from the back and says "yeah your water looks pretty good your ready for whatever you want to do, there is only a small sign of ammonia." LOL

Sorry about your tank...Things to remember in the aquarium hobby is...nothing comes good out of doing things fast.
