I was on AA like usual past night when I heard a splash and the a little thud. For those who have seen the 15 column by aqueon, there is like a two-three inch spot in the back. I picked him up and put him back in the tank. Would egg crate/ light diffuser keep a 2-3 inch clown in or should I use something else? Thanks guys.

Yes, as long as the holes in the diffuser are small enough that the fish can not get through them

They also make a netting that can go over the tank top. The holes are about the same size as eggcrate.
