I don't recommend par38's for a 20. They are more for 10g. Just buy a Tao panel, cheaper and better.

Two par38s:
RapidLED- http://tinyurl.com/rapidled
Reefkoi - http://tinyurl.com/reefkoi

Both of these have good reviews, but I personally would choose the Reefkoi as it is the hgiher power bulb, plus the color temp is 20,000k vs 17,000 k on the rapidled.

Although these both screw into standard light sockets, you will also probably want to get a strong, adjustable fixture that can clamp on to the aquarium (these bulbs are pretty heavy.) Many people use a gooseneck fixture from coralcompulsion.com, but you can also use a clip on lamp (some users on AA go that route, like 10g_nano.)

Yep - just to confirm I didn't mess up the details, this a standard 10 right?

One should be fine, just make sure you have a good fixture.

You definitely don't need to add pellets, since you already have enough ammo to cycle the tank. I doubt it could be hurting anything, but I wouldn't add them since you know you already have a good cycle going.

That's a lot of ammo, if you haven't already I would def take out the source. Looking good, trites are already spiking.

I would check ph, but not the most important thing right now (it's good to be aware of what the params are at in general.)

After taking out the shrimp, next day ammonia seems to be dropping to around 4.0 to 2.0

Nitrite hit it's max to 5.0 mark, nitrate still 0
