Aquarium Advice Apprentice
Hi all, i have a 46g euro bowfront freshwater tank already and thats going great, but im thinking of starting a 20g saltwater reef tank to get acclimated for it because i plan on putting a huge raceway or round tank in my basement, split in half, for fresh and saltwater (about 1000 gallons is my idea). But for now i'd like to know what i need to start.
I DO know that i need aragonite sand, live rock (not sure how much for a 20g), some reefs which i'll do much more research about in the future before i buy, a master saltwater test kit...
But my main question is what else would i need to get, Lighting? Sump? HOB filter? if so what brands and models?? I'd just love to buy everything slowly and when i have every piece i need, buy the rock, go through cycling, then buy the reef and fish as the last step..
