OK these are pics of some worm things I have found, they are both a few inches long about 2, and there are a few smaller worms as well.

Next comes the confusing thing that I have NO IDEA what it is. It opens and closes, moves a bit, and can shut and at least shift positions very repaidly.

And this is the cloudy substance over part of the liverock, about 1 square inch of it, (is this what I need to scrub off? how, and do I need to do it out of the tank?)

Nice shots!

Your worm pic looks like a bristleworm.

The others look like clams of some sort. There are very many. Basically they are harmless filter feeders, and add variety to your tank, IMO.

The last picture looks like a sponge growing. I would leave it.

ok will do.

there is a spong of about a 1.5 inch diameter in the tank, but he is on the underside of the rock, the same place he was when the rock was in the store, so I am thinkin it may not harm him too cmuh, but that side is an ugly side of the rock and I would rather lose that sponge than keep that side visable :/

The clam-looking thing is probably an ostracod, if it's "walking" around. They are harmless. I had a few when I got new live rock too.

Tank looks good....is that an Eclipse 5 hex? I have one as a FW tank on my desk at work. What are you planning for livestock, if any? Did you modify the lights at all?

Yes, it is an elclipse 5 Hex tank. For lighting, I upgraded to a 25 watt light. I also changed the assembly to handle the wattage. The tank does have a problem with heat, the tanks tries to stabilize at about 80 degrees even with the heater almost all the way down. I also removed the bio wheel, and am running two powerheads since the flow on the filter sucks. When I was using the filter as an actual filter, I had the outlet of a power head going into the filter intake to increase its flow rate. Now that the filter is used only for removing particulate matter, I am not doing this anymore.

It was FW for almost 8 months, it has housed a Beta, a dwarf puffer, and some triops just prior to this. also housed some German Blue Ram fry for a few weeks.

Ummm. it wasnt said, the Bristle Worms, do they need to go? If so, recommended ways to remove them?
