So while I was doing my wc tonight I syphoned up Stripes (the clown goby) while going over the rocks on the ric island . Little guy swam up to see if food was coming out if the tube, and next thing we both knew he was in the bucket. Poor guys been hiding ever since .

And since any good post needs pictures....

Oh I'm sorry sir, but that post doesn't meet the required photo per post quota law set by the official photo dump committee, I'm going to have to ask you to post more pictures or we'll have to take you in..

In all seriousness, nice Acans red

Nothing in this tank puts anything in yours "to shame", but I'm trying :p. I kinda want to try a new light though, something with multiple channels, debating trying a nano-box....

please try the nano box! i thought those looked cool. It would be cool to set up an experiment tank and take two zoa frags (same zoa variety), put them in different tanks, at the same aproximate height in the tank etc. and see which light provides the greatest growth.

That would be a fun experiment, and a great excuse to start a new tank :p

it would be hard to keep them both the same (param wise). would be very interesting though. Those nano-box lights look pretty snazzy though

Yeah you'd probably have to stock them exactly the same coral wise, and live stock wise, so at least the demands on the trace elements and bio load would be the same. So that means it's really an excuse to set up 2 new tanks. Maybe a pair of 5.5s would be cool...... Your giving me ideas here Matty .....

two 5.5s, divided by a black piece of thin wood so no light leaks. Both being fed FW by a gravity fed, shared ATO so they have exactly same tds or any potential chemicals in the top off water, and one wont be topped off more than the other. Wow, getting scientific in here haha!

Why not just plumb the two systems together? Use the same flow and placement, just change the light.
