Got some packages!!

May have gone over board

Ordered my corals from a eBay store located down state from me so shipping was only $10, so far I'm impressed.

Just started the float, I imagine there will be a photo dump to come later :D

Geez what did you get??? Your tanks gonna be fuller than mine!! :p

Everything just went in, definitely filled the sand bed. Lights come on in a couple hours so well see how they look.

There starting to open up so here's a teaser

where it's at, it was tough to get a good shot

I'm pretty fascinated by this lepastrea, kinda want another :p

And some random shots until the rest of the new stuff opens a little more

Wow! Nice pickups for sure! You sure this is just a "spare tank"? You might need an upgrade already lol! Inspirational for me for sure man!

Beautiful! How do you acclimate your new corals to the light?

Yeah it started out that way, but now it's my only reef so..... I'll fill it til I can't see rock or sand :p

Depends on the light, with the par bulb I usually just put them where I think they'll be good (should of acclimated the slimer, and now it's bleaching a little but it should come back around. If it's a more powerful dimmable fixture, I'd still start it on the sand bed but I'd also drop the % by 10-15% and slowly raise it back up over a couple weeks. Once the coral seems comfortable you can move it higher up/where you'd like it and see how it does.

The new stuff still isn't all the way open but I snapped a few pics anyway

Blastos

Acan shots

Keeping an eye on me just in case it's feeding time :)
