Is it necessary to run your skimmer 24/7 thanks for advice ;)

In nanos, you don't NEED a skimmer. Id think you need to be running it all the time though. I just run mine with water changes and a bag of chemipure elite in a hob filter.

Or perhaps you can run it once a week how was that? Tnx

No you don't have to run your skimmer all the time, I know a lot of people that run them on timers or controllers so there water isn't "to clean"

How frequent do you run your skimmer? Maybe once a week is it ok?

Why would you want to shut off the thing that cleans the water? I would rather add food to raise nutrient levels than rely on digested matter. If you want dirty water, implement a phytoplankton drip.

Btw this is my tank nearly 7 months old with skimmer running 24/7 I just read some thread suggesting not to run the skimmer all day tnx mr x ;)

If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Skimmers also aerate the water and help keep PH stable. I would not recommend shutting it off.
