I like the aquascaping but I must tell you something. I dont wanna sound harsh but both fish you have in there will not work. The tang and eel will both outgrow a 30 gallon very soon. I hope you plan on upgrading very soon

Good observation. I also own a 12 gal nano cube and a 120 gal fowlr tank that they will both eventually go into. The eel i am just waiting for to get a little bigger so that my grouper will not try to slurp him up.And the tang is new so i did not wan to expose him to the fish i have in the big tank until im shure he is healthy.

Can you guys tell me how you sized your pics for posting? Did yuo set a lower level on your camera, or resize the pics on the computer? Mine are too big to attach, and it's a pain to resize them with the cheesy program that I have.
Also - I'm going to STEAL your aquascaping ideas!! Hey, now that you posted it, it's public info, right?

30 gal standard 55 lbs LR, 60 lb live sand, 10 gal sump/refugium. Urchin skimmer, mag7 pump, 3 x 96W PC combination 10,000K/actinic bulb, 2 blue LED moonlights
SG 1.024, temp 79.5, pH 8.4
Livestock I added:
1 skunk cleaner. 12 hermits: red, scarlet, blue. 15 or so assorted snails. Discosomas, Ricordia, Rhodactis mushroom corals, chaetomorpha (sump), 1 feather duster, Montipora digitata, Montipora capricornis, Montipora hispids. assorted zoos, Xenia, Kenya tree coral, green Sinularia, green star polyps, branching hammer coral, bubble coral, Devil's hand leather. Yellow chromis, purple firefish.
Hitchhikers: the usual suspects :crabs, bristles, urchin, mantis shrimp (now in exile in mantis tank)
List of possible/likely newcomers:
Feather duster. PJ cardinal, Bangghai cardinal, Firefish goby, Clownfish, Neon goby, Yellow watchman goby, Orchid dottyback. Various corals.

Thanks for the compliments on the aquascaping. I really spend a lot of time trying to get it just rite. Like i said before i changed around the 120 ill have to take new pics when i clean the glass(im lazy)

Nice. Even more open space. I'll shooting for something similar, with PERHAPS two larger piles on the ends and some crossing structure in the middle. But I won't know that unitl I see the actual rocks, of course.
