My nano has been running for about a month now, and I added 2 Blue Leg Hermits about a week ago who are doing great. I have one of the Coralife temp gauges for accuracy, and it appears that my temperature varies from about 77.4 to 78.6 degrees through the day. I am using a Visi-Therm 25 watt heater. Is this too much of a temperature shift? I'm not sure what I could do to fix it.

I wish mine only varied that much. I get 76-79 most of the time with the day/night cycle. As long as it isn’t wild temperature swings of more than 2 degrees within an hour then your fish will adjust to the change without any ill affects. As long as it doesn’t go over 81 or below 72 as a general rule you should be fine.
