Stocking the 12g nano fish, LR, and heater

I am going to set up the water and order LR for the nano in the next week. I wanted to know what the best heater to use was for this tank and most reliable.

Also, I'm having a hard time finding any nice LR here in NE Florida so I might be ordering at LR.com ... will they mix rock types for you even if I'm only getting 20-25 pounds? Whats the most porus they offer? I'm open to other options for purchase as well, I have just heard the most about them here.

I'm planning on a true perc clown, a royal Gramma and a cleaner shrimp and a hermit/snail cleanup crew for my live stock. How does this sound?

TIA, never had a reef tank smaller than 55g... but super excited to get this up and running.

Kimberly

I went with the Visi-Therm 50watt heater by Marinland. liverocks.com is the way to go for LR. Just call them and tell them what you are intereted in and they will be happy to help out. Let them know it is for a 12gal and they will get the right size rock for you. Wonderful customer service. They should have no trouble splitting up and order for you. They did it with my 30lb order. Also, ask them for a few pounds of LR rubble to put in the three filration chamber in the tank. It is a much better filter media then the supplied bioballs and ceramic rings. I do not use any of the sponges in mine either. Good luck in the setup...Lando

A heater with a good reputation is Ebo-jager.

The perc and the royal gamma sounds good to me.

If you don't want to spend too much money on live rock buy a mix of base rock and live rock.
