Tiny little black things in tank...

I've just noticed over the past day or two that I now have a lot of little black things over the bottom of my tank, they don't appear to be alive...they're look like little bits of dirt really, sort of long and thin, but only tiny.

They weren't there before the last week when I've added some corals.

A couple are on one or two of the corals themselves, but most are on the sand, or the bottom of the rock.

Does anyone know what they could be?!

Just coral poo and probably fish poo and possibly sediment from your LR and corals ....You can siphion that off with H20 changes and get it into the water colmn for your filter to pick up once you do that rinse your filter pad ..

It's likely to be just coral poo/sediment, I didn't realise corals "poo'd" :p

Can it give off ammonia like fish poo can?

They really dont add to the bio load or break down but it can be unsightly so when doing water changes I just vacume it up into the tubing ,I use airline for this task
